My goal from the beginning was to cartoon each of the 122 chapters of my book. While my writing and cartoon style is light humor, I think you can feel my heartbreak of seeing death. I worked on this cartoon for over three weeks to get Death drawn so he seems personable, and the dialogue to convey my sadness. Not many people outside of Kigoma knew of this job. Take time to pray for missionaries as they share the Gospel in difficult situations.

If you have been around others speaking in a language unknown to you, then you understand the deer in the headlights look. This happened to me in many languages including Dutch. I am sure the deer will make another cameo appearance. Pray for missionaries as they grow in a new language.
Cindy and I were in a neighborhood going door to door witnessing for our church. While the person in box three did not say, “You Baptists from Mars who may or may not speak in tongues”, he did slam the door. Ten years later we went door to door in the same city and saw several people accept Jesus. Matt 28:19-20. 
Several cartoons have what may seem like real languages. I try my best to correctly use an unknown tongue. I do know mamba means crocodile in Swahili and hatari means danger. So in Tanzania if you see a black mamba snake don’t shout “MAMBA” because people will think you are stupid. Call a snake: nyoka.
The owner of this restaurant heard tourists like beef and cheese burgers, so he prepared both. I did not get the concept over that a cheese burger has both . He also cooked the American favorite: hot dogs cooked in peanut butter. Pray for missionaries as they minister in different cultures.
